Sidetrackd Again Band

First Bar Gig with The Slow Burn at Brother's Encore Pub (23 November 2009)

Yes, it is true - Sidetrackd Again ventured away from the basement and outdoor private parties to the bar scene!!  All of us had a great time at Brother's Encore Pub in Montclair, VA - and from the response we received during and after our set, we believe a lot of folks did.  We would like to thank "The Slow Burn" for providing us the opportunity to play with them at the Pub.  We also appreciate their willingness to share equipment, making set-up and tear -down much easier on us.  Of course their words of encouragement helped us along as well; they are not an easy act to follow with outstanding harmonies, tight rhythms, and melodic leads.  Many thanks also to all the friends that made the evening a memorable one for us; it is much more fun playing for a standing room only crowd!  Hopefully, Sidetrackd Again will be scheduling other events like this one in the new year.  We are also planning on playing another private party early next year.

For those of you who could not make it, here is our first bar gig set list:

1. Shipping Up To Boston

2. Salty Dog

3. Can't Get Enough

4. All Right Now

5. Keep Your Hands To Yourself

6. I Want You To Want Me

7. Centerfold

8. What I Like About You

9. All The Small Things

10. Kryptonite

11. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

12. Drunken Lullabies

Video Clips/Photos from the June 2009 Pool Party Added and Band Update (1 September 2009)

Video Clips and photos from the Raffery's Pool Party have finally been added to the site. Video clips are in theSound Bytes/Video Clips page; photos are in the Photos page.  Our summer rehearsal schedule has been very light as all of us have been enjoying vacations at different times.  We did manage to add a synthesizer to our mix, however, and have expanded our set list with songs such as Hello I Love You (The Doors), Working For The Weekend (Loverboy) and Centerfold (J. Geils) to make use of it.  Other songs we are currently working on include Drunken Lullabies (Flogging Molly), The Boys Are Back In Town (Thin Lizzy), What I Like About You (Romantics), Good Girls Don't (The Knack), My Sharona (The Knack), and I Can't Explain (The Who).  We are planning to play at a private party in October and hope to host another party before the end of the year for our friends.  We would also like to welcome Britt Kelley to the band - he has volunteered to run our sound/recording for us.

Thank you to the Raffertys (15 June 2009)

Sidetrackd thoroughly enjoyed playing for over 200 old and new friends at the Rafferty's Pool Party.  We want to thank Jim and Susan for being such great hosts - we look forward to the second annual "Start of Summer" party already.  Great people, weather, pool, food and drinks makes for a fantastic party.  The band also wants to thank those who helped us pack up and move equipment in the dark - guess next year we will set up our lights to make playing the last set and packing up a bit easier!  Thanks also to Stacie for ensuring the video camera was on - hope to have a few songs posted on the site in a few weeks.  If anyone has good digital pictures they wouldn't mind sharing, please e-mail them to one of us - thanks in advance.  Thanks to Lisa for those already provided!  Finally, thanks to those who were called upon for their tambourine skills, including Dale and those celebrating birthdays - you were all good sports.

Video Clips Added (15 January 2009)

Video Clips of three songs played during the Halloween party have been added to the Sound Bytes/Video Clips page.  A few more will be added next week.  After taking a short break during the holidays, Sidetrackd Again has resumed practicing and has added some new material - see the Songs page.  Scott is putting down the guitar for three of the songs, so that we can jam some Irish Punk with violin.  We hope to be ready to play at a party near the end of March.

Thanks for the Support (3 November 2008)

All of the members of Sidetrackd want to thank each of you who came to our Halloween Party - we had a great time - because of you.  It makes it easy to have so much fun playing and "rockin out" when the audience is so enthusiastic, complimentary and fun.  We are also excited that our first and last performance with drum tracks is over!  We are ready to start refining the set list and learning new songs (see the Songs page) with Dale.  In the next few weeks, video and pictures from the party should be posted on the website.  If you have any good pictures, please send them to us so we can include them.  Again, thanks for all the support and we hope to see you at another party!  If you have a moment, don't forget to sign the guestbook.

Band Is Now Complete (1 October 2008)

We are pleased that Dale Juarbe, drummer for The Slow Burn and Murphy's Law, has joined us.  Incidently, Dale also played a couple of sets with the original Sidetrackd at a party/performance in Mason Neck, VA.  The band is excited about expanding the song list to other favorites that didn't have drum tracks available - we had been very limited in our song selection.

Sidetrack'd Again (4 September 2008)

After the original members of Sidetrack'd went their separate ways in early 2006, Scott has put together a new version of the band, "Sidetrack'd Again".  Although he is the only original member of Sidetrack'd, the style/arrangement of the music is very familiar - more than half of the songs were once performed by Sidetrack'd.  Scott is joined by Rick Ellis (lead vocals/acoustic guitar), John Pinnisi (rhythm guitar) and James Weil (bass guitar/vocals).  The more the band plays together, it should begin to reflect the talents of the new lineup, and develop its own unique style - already, the addition of Rick's acoustic guitar, JP's processor effects and James' playing style have influenced the sound.  Obviously absent from the lineup is a drummer ...  We are currently playing with drum tracks through the PA system - actually much better than you might believe, but would like to add a drummer with the same goals as us: play for friends and friends of friends at parties and enjoy drinking beers in the basement while making music (all great covers)!
